Today, I played an internet arcade: Astro Blaster. Astro Blaster is a classic shooting game that was released in 1981 by SEGA. Players shoot missiles to shoot down the enemies while continuously manage the fuel and temperature of a ship.

It was my first time using a browser emulator to play such a classic game. At the beginning, I was quite impressed that it took more than twenty seconds to start the game. I expected the game to be light, but it actually took longer. I think it was due to the emulator because running a game in an emulator is usually slower than running a game on its original hardware.

When I played the game, it reminded me a similar game called Galaga which was the oldest game I have ever played, however, I could not feel huge nostalgia of it. I think it was due to the different circumstances such that I am on a keyboard instead of an arcade cabinet. There were too many keys for the game compared to the arcade cabinet, and those circumstance makes me to feel the game more different.

Yes. The game was quite classic, but it was still enjoyable that I focus on dodging missiles and managing the fuel and the temperature of the ship, additionally it reminds me some old games too.
